My 10 year old daughter was diagnosed with Scoliosis this summer. She has worn a Charleston Bending brace at night for the past month. I would be very interested in corresponding (and possible forming a support group) with mother’s of Scoliosis children. I would also be interested in finding my daughter an age appropriate girl with Scoliosis to email.
I don’t know how long ago this was published, but I wanted to drop a note. I wore a plastic and foam form Scoliosis brace for four years between the ages of 11 and 15. I’m twenty now. I know what it’s like to have to find clothes that you feel comfortable in that don’t look funny with the brace on. I’m not familiar with the type of brace that you mentioned, but if you wanted some extra input (if you haven’t gotten enough already) I’d be glad to help.

Thank you for letting me hear your daughters story. Has your daughter been cooperative about wearing the brace? My Olivia fights me all the time. I’m so stressed out about it. She has not been wearing it for the past two weeks because it is not fitting her properly due to her growing ( I think.) We go to the doctor May 30th to have it checked out. I see her back and I really worry. Her scoliosis seems to be more obvious.
